Teen Wii and Rockband with 2 New Extra Wii's to Make Room for More Teens!

Middle and high school aged teens are invited to play Wii games and Wii Rockband at the library. There are now 4 Wii consoles so that means a larger variety of games to play plus less time to wait for a station to become available. Come on over! Enjoy snacks and refreshments!!!

Weekly Teen 3D Plastic Object Print Demo

May 25, 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM @ Saginaw Public Library

The library is holding a weekly drawing for teens in middle and high school grade. Teens are encouraged to design a 6inch x 6inch 3D object (free software: Blender.org, Google Sketchup, OpenSCad, etc) and save it as a .stl file. Teens who need inspiration or would like to print a pre-designed public domain file can visit www.thingiverse.com. At the end of the week a name will be drawn and the teens design will be printed at the library. Teens will need to have their parent/guardian sign a 3D Printer Policy Form at the library. This is part of the Best Buy Community Grant for the Teen Tech Hot Spot Program.

City Offices Closed for Memorial Day Holiday

The City of Saginaw municipal offices will be closed all day on Monday, May 27th to observe the Memorial Day Holiday. However, the Saginaw Aquatic Center will be open from 12:00 noon to 7:00 p.m.

Breast Cancer Screening at the Recreation Center

The Moncrief Cancer Institute, Texas Health Resources and the City of Saginaw are partnering together for a breast cancer screening event on May 31st from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in a Mobile Unit parked in the parking lot of the Saginaw Recreation Center, 633 West McLeroy Blvd. Appointments are required.
