These classes are a part of the Adult Basic Education and English as a Second Language Program coordinated by Carmen Silver. Want to learn a new language 24/7 from home? The library also offers the Mango Languages online language-learning system to its patrons. Mango is free for all library patrons and can be accessed anywhere with an Internet connection. To learn more about Mango, stop by the library and ask a librarian for an introduction. “Mango Study Groups” will also be meeting at the John Ed Keeter Public Library on Wednesdays from 11AM to 1PM.

    The Library will be playing an animated movie rated PG. The movie is about the king of Halloween discovering Christmas. Due to movie and television license restrictions, the library cannot post online the title of the show that will be played. Please visit or call the library to find out the title of the show.

Senior Center Calendar

  1. Fall Basic Computer Class: Microsoft Excel 2010

    October 24, 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM @ Senior Center

    PREREQUISITE: Attendees must already know how to use a mouse on a computer and have had at least some experience using a keyboard. The Basics of Microsoft Excel 2010 Class at the Senior Center's Log Cabin will be led by the Saginaw Library Director, Paula Waak, as a part of their Senior Outreach program. Students will learn about Templates, the Tabs, the Ribbon, the Launcher, and common functions used in Excel. Students will also learn how to create a New Document and Save vs. Save As. The Library will be bringing 10 Dell Latitude laptops to the class for attendees to use. The laptops will be on first come first serve basis since this is a free class. Please do not bring personal laptops since personal laptops may not have all the needed software installed for the class. NOTE: The instructor will not be able to provide any assistance fixing personal computers that have viruses or other damages. Attendees must understand that these are Basic Computer Classes and not Advan
