    The children's Summer Reading Club is open to ages zero (0) to 5th grade. Be sure to visit the library or go online to the library's website to view the programs that will be offered throughout the summer as well as the incentive prizes available to children.

  2. Adult Literacy and English as a Second Language Orientation and Placement Test

  4. Saginaw Historical Society Presents: History of the Saginaw Cemetery

    July 24, 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM @ Saginaw Public Library

    Saginaw Historical Society will be discussing the history of the Saginaw Cemetery. The Saginaw library houses records and materials for the Saginaw Historical Society in a partnership to preserve the city's history.

  6. Friday Fundays K-5th Grade: Igor, Music is ALIVE (Must Pre-Register)

    July 25, 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM @ Saginaw Public Library

    Friday Fundays are craft and science experiences on Fridays for students who have "finished" kindergarten and are in grade levels up to 5th Grade. There is limited seating so be sure to pre-register by calling or visiting the library. Pre-registration is available during the week of each Friday Funday program.

  7. Ending Party "Texas Tails" with Critterman (Refreshments Served)

  8. Teen Summer Reading Club: Wii and Rockband

    July 26, 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM @ Saginaw Public Library

    Middle and high school aged teens are invited to play Wii games and Wii Rockband while enjoying snacks and refreshments at the library. There are now 4 Wii consoles so that means a larger variety of games to play. Come on over and show off your Wii gaming skills!

  9. MAKER Wednesdays & Saturdays with 3D Printing and 3D Scanning

    July 26, 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM @ Saginaw Public Library

    Every Wednesday and Saturday at 2PM during the month of July the library will be printing objects with their Solidoodle 3D Printer. Watch as objects are printed with ABS plastic material. PLUS, get a chance to have yourself scanned with the Sense 3D scanner by Cubify and see what you look like as a 3D object computer file. The library will also provide PlayDough for people to use to create objects that can be scanned. Visit: www.thingiverse.com for possible things to print or design your own object. This is a part of the Adult Summer Reading Club Program.

  10. Crafting with Yarn and Thread Club

    July 29, 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM @ Saginaw Public Library

    The Crafting with Yarn and Thread Club is open to anyone who wants to craft or learn how to craft with yarn. Ages 10 and up are welcome. You will need to bring your own supplies to the club. Learn to knit, crochet and more!

  11. Night Writers Class with Local Author Del Cain

    July 29, 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM @ Saginaw Public Library

    Attend the Night Writers to learn more about the writing process, discuss ideas, and give each other feedback on drafts. Workshop led by local author, Del Cain.

  13. Reel Science: Free Television Showing (TV-14) and Popcorn (Limited Time) at the Library

    July 30, 4:00 PM - 5:30 PM @ Saginaw Public Library

    Due to movie and television license restrictions, the library cannot post online the title of the show that will be played. Please visit or call the library to find out the title of the show.

  14. Teen Summer Reading Club: Writing Class with Author A. Lee Martinez

    July 31, 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM

    Middle and high school aged kids are invited to this writing class where they will have a chance to meet and ask writing advice from author A. Lee Martinez who is a science fiction and fantasy writer. For more information about author A. Lee Martinez, visit his website at: http://www.aleemartinez.com/ Books by A. Lee Martinez are also available to check out from the John Ed Keeter Public Library in Saginaw.
